Terms and Conditions
Article 1 – Definitions
In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
- Contractor: SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl
- Client: the natural or legal person who uses the services of the contractor
- Agreement: any arrangement between client and contractor regarding the performance of work
- Work: all services offered and performed by the contractor, including opening, replacing, repairing locks and restoring damage
Article 2 – Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all offers, quotations, agreements and work performed by SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl. Deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed upon in writing.
General terms and conditions of the client are expressly rejected.
Article 3 – Offers and price indications
All offers and price indications are non-binding, unless otherwise stated. Any prices mentioned on the website are guidelines and may differ from the final costs.
The final price is determined based on the on-site situation, the type of work and the time of execution. The client agrees to the price after it has been communicated in advance.
Article 4 – Formation of the agreement
The agreement is formed at the moment the client gives instructions to perform work, verbally, by telephone, in writing or digitally.
By providing the instructions, the client declares to have taken note of and to agree with these terms and conditions.
Article 5 – Performance of the work
SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl performs the work to the best of its knowledge and ability. The performance depends on the circumstances on site, including the condition of the lock, door and hardware.
The contractor makes every effort to limit damage, but cannot guarantee that work will always be performed without damage.
Article 6 – Emergency work
For emergency assignments, work can be started immediately. The client agrees that in such cases, written confirmation is not always provided in advance.
Different rates may apply for emergency work than for regular work.
Article 7 – Payment
Payment must be made immediately after completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed. Payment can be made in cash or via a payment method offered by the contractor.
In case of non-payment, SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl reserves the right to suspend further work and charge any collection costs.
Article 8 – Cancellation
Cancellation of an assignment is possible as long as the work has not yet started. If the technician is already on the way or has arrived on site, costs may be charged.
Article 9 – Liability
SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl is only liable for direct damage resulting from intent or gross negligence. Liability for indirect damage, consequential damage or financial damage is excluded, to the extent legally permitted.
Liability is in all cases limited to the amount paid out by the liability insurance.
Article 10 – Force majeure
SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl is not liable for delays or shortcomings due to force majeure, which includes circumstances beyond the contractor’s control, such as weather conditions, traffic problems or technical failures.
Article 11 – Complaints
Complaints about the work performed must be reported as soon as possible after discovery. SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl will assess the complaint and, if justified, seek an appropriate solution.
Article 12 – Applicable law
Dutch law applies to all agreements and these terms and conditions.
Article 13 – Disputes
Disputes arising from or related to the agreement will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
Article 14 – Changes
SlotenmakerAmsterdam.nl reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions. The most current version is always available on the website.
